  • When it comes to the phrase “Made In China”, what will appear in your mind? In the past few years, for most of us, ”Made In China “ referred to domestic products of poor quality. Consequently, many of us tend to purchase import commodities, even at a higher price. As is known to all, we rushed to buy electric cooker or toilet lid in Japan, as if they were sold for free; we bought 47% of the world’s luxury goods coming from Italy, France, and so on except China. All of those facts seem funny, but shocking in reality. Whereas, there was a time when we took pride in our own goods. I happened to see a male watch made of steel in my home; my mother told me that it had has a long history but still useful. More significantly, it was “Made In China”. Thus I’d like to say, it is the time when we should reflect our views on products made in China.

There may be someone claiming that we are only able to imitate, not to invent. What I wanna stress is that on our way to become truly powerful and strong, we’re bound to stumble. If you are constantly pushing yourself higher, higher, the law of averages, not to mention the Myth of Icarus, predicts that you will at some point fall. We once got stuck in a hole full of shoddy, however, now we’re getting more focused on quality, and what matters most is that we are making our attempts to be creative. Situation does really change. We have become one that won the competition with Japan about the Indonesian High-Speed Rail project by showing the entire world our advanced technology and perfect equipment. And when some people said, they said, we’d be too dejected to repeat that same kind of turnout in the ancient times like Tang dynasty which surprised the world with its fancy inventions, and we proved them wrong by showing up the agreements signed about Chinese investment into both nuclear power and high-speed rail in Britain.

Two cheers for “Made In China”! Real progress requires authentic – an authentic way of being technological, and above all creative. I am firmly convinced that “Made In China” will embrace the positive meaning of great inventions and fantastic products, coz PRODUCTIVITY MAKES A COMFORTABLE LIFE&CREATION MAKES A DIFFERENCE.
