  • Two Cheers for “Made in China”

What’s your impression of “ Made in China” ?

Low-valent and low-quality? The old-fashioned labour-intensive style? A terrible and disappointing shopping? Or the tendency of abroad buying in China?

An advertisement about China was played on CNN news. The advertisement, and even the slogan “Made in China, the World Cooperation” had caused wide public concern in the USA, even many places of the world. “Made in China” is not just some words, but also a mirror of Chinese economic development process.

Having joined the WTO, China took great advantages of plenty of labour force, which contribute to the output and the export of industrial production at an unprecedented level and rate. For a long time, “Made in China” had been represented as a honor to all of the Chinese. Now, we have to admit that it did make a breakthrough in Chinese industry during that time. No matter how beautiful roses are, they will fade someday. With the development of the science and the technology, many countries transformed their mode of production. They stressed on the education to train elites. But what were we doing at that time? Without any changes, China closed its door called creativity. “Made in China” seemed to lose its attracting light.

For a long time, “Made in China” exists every corner of our life. A jacket bought in Italy is “Made in China” , a purse got in Paris is “Made in China” , even the Iphone can’t get rid of “Made in China” . So there is a book called A year without “Made in China”. The author says,“We couldn’t live if we were without ‘Made in China’ , and we just can’t imagine that!” They have recognized the importance of “Made in China”. But on the contrary, most of them regard “Made in China” as laughingstock, a sign which means imitation without any new ideas.

Nothing is perfect in this world. We Chinese shouldn’t give up the step to make our homeland more beautiful. China is trying hard, so should we. We know that industries in China are truly still labor-intensive ones, we know China is at the bottom of the industry chain, we know we waste natural resources intemperately, we know the competition of the IPR isn’t actively, and we even know behind the high speed of economy is the lack of food for the poor. However, we teenagers are now too weak to change the circumstances in a short time. A nation strengthens along with its young generation. So what we should do is study hard, especially the major one, to improve our innovation ability and contribute to our homeland. A person was born to change the world positively, such as Steve Jobs and Edison. We should take our responsibilities of protect the environment and save resources and call for others to do so under this circumstance. What’s more, we must ask for the fair and objective judge of “Made in China” and China to all the countries, especially some developed countries.

Fortune often rewards with interest those that have patience to wait for her. We believe ourselves and we believe our country--China. We ought to develop from the simplex industry of the world to the base that provides advanced equipments. A new label of “Made in China” would be signed with high quality, environmentally-friendly, energy-efficient and humanized.
