  • Made in China

    Good morning, ladies and gentlemen.

It’s my great honor to deliver a speech here.

Last week,my aunt bought a very expensive items from America,She was so proud that she invited me to see it.I was burst into laughter when I saw the word on it ,which was read made in China. So, what is “made in China”? Made in China refers to a country of origin label affixed to products manufactured in the mainland China. We used to /be proud of /made in China/ for/ it brings us/ a lot of benefits which strengthens our country. But recently it puzzles us a lot. For example, most of us know Iphone, and we may even know that it is designed by Apple in California yet produced in China. However, when it comes to the profit, the Apple Incorporation shares nearly sixty percent of its global revenue while its Chinese counterpart only gets 1.8%. We can see from this that made in China is losing its superiority.

Second, Many Chinese don’t believe made in China. This spring festival, a flood of Chinese tourists chose to travel to Japan and inundated their stores, eagerly snapping up Japanese goods. They just considered the items produced by Japan were much better than what we called “made in China”. It does give us a warning.

As China has surpassed Japan, becoming the second largest economy in the world, a new industrial revolution is of vital importance. Chinese companies and factories should take the responsibility. The advantages on raw material and labor are fading out. Technology and science must become the main stream during the International competition.

So what we can do at the turning point? I think the most urgent thing for us to do is gain more knowledge so that we can transform the knowledge into productivity.

    That’s all. Thanks for listening.
