The Chinese Taipei women's basketball team lost to Republic of Korea by 87-59 in the final round of the Asian Games group stage. Korea advanced with winning the total three games.
The Chinese Taipei women's basketball team has won three medals at Asian Games since 1990, winning two bronzes and a silver in 2006, which is its best result. However, their performance in recent years are getting worse and worse,and even finished eighth in the last Asian Cup,their lowest ranking for the event. Now, they are facing the difficulty as for how to get out of C group in Asian Games.
